Roman Castles Tour
A journey to the charming palatial hill towns of Rome, the realm of fine wines and cheeses. Having been made for centuries upon centuries and the true reason the Romans once called it the "Nectar of Bacchus".
These characteristic little towns so set in their ways almost refuse to give into modern-day civilization.
We will visit Frascati, a town where none other than Frascati wines are made.
Castle Gandolfo which houses the Papal residence.
And on to Ariccia and Albano where we shall eat lunch in a restaurant which is well-known for its excellent wine and cheese.
Ariccia, a charming little town in which the “Battle of Ariccia” was fought defeating the Etruscans back in 506 BC and Albano for which legend states was the original birthplace of Romulus and Remus, mythical founders of our beloved city, Rome.
